FICA EDITIONS IN STOP MOTION
COLLECTION 1
Invited to imagine a story through the illustrations of the first collection, Silvio Teixeira created a fictional tale, bringing to life both our pieces and handmade process.
We also had the honor of having the great David Fonseca narrate the imagined story.
In the end, we leave you with a challenge. Now you just have to start imagining new stories for the upcoming collection to be released October 12.
SCREEN PRINTING MEETS CERAMICS
SCREEN-PRINTED TILES
In our main collection, each tile is hand-built one by one and screen
printed one color at a time, with each unit being hand-pulled individually.
SCREEN PRINTING ON CERAMIC
Screen printing must adapt and adjust to ceramics, which play a crucial role in the Screen Printed Tiles process, requiring the clay to progress carefully through each stage.
Different coating, different steps
Screen printing on ceramics requires compatible coatings, applied on the correct stage of the clay.
Our Screen Printed Tile collection involves more than one process besides the use of ceramic inks (see image).
Hand-pulled one by one
This process requires printing one color at a time, with each piece being carefully hand-pulled, to transfer the ink onto the substrate.
